Cup of Tea Before Work

When I first made this website, I wanted to help guide other people on how they can spend more time outdoors. I shared this post about small changes you could make daily to get more time outdoors and in nature. One of those changes was taking your first-morning tea or coffee outside.

When I lived in a flat, I would often pack a flask and go and sit by a nearby lake watching the sun come up. It was 20 minutes out of my morning before work, where I could relax and not worry about anything. When I moved to a house with a garden, I thought perhaps I could do this every day, but it didn’t. Instead, I grab a blanket and sit on the sofa watching videos until I regret the amount of time, I’ve wasted sitting there doing nothing.

I thought I would try and get this little habit back last week, so I headed down the road to my local nature reserve for my cup of tea before work in the hope that it would encourage me to get outside more often in the morning rather than just sit watching YouTube. Although, that is precisely what I have done this morning, as it’s raining…
