I’m a big advocate of trying to enjoy the little things in life. I don’t have the time to go on big, dangerous adventures. Instead of being down in the dumps about this, I think about all the adventure I can squeeze into my life. Whether a walk on my lunch break or a quick day trip at the weekend. There’s plenty of Every Day adventures to be had!
One of the best ways I take the time to immerse myself into the great outdoors is by taking my dog Betty for a walk. The daily routine gets me out the door, rain or shine. As a bit of a photography hobbyist I like using the Get Wylder app to make the most of these 30 minute bursts of nature and try to be present and taking in my surroundings.
The app gives you a prompt each day to take a photo of nature. It’s had me crouching and craning looking for things to take a photo of each day.

This mornings prompt was ‘Fluttering Finds’. A lap round the local park had me scanning for some birds or wildflowers blowing in the wind. You can log your photo each day and also see what other people have been posting. It’s a great way to get you noticing things you would otherwise pass by without a care in the world.

Here’s my photo for today… A lone bird on an early morning flight.

Why not give it a go on your next walk and see whether you notice anything new?
